Covers VHF marine channels and 136–174 MHz LMR frequencies, with up to 100 programmable LMR channels. Each channel can be configured with CTCSS or DTCS tones for secure operation.

Despite its compact size, the IC-M85E delivers 700 mW of crisp, loud audio—essential for communication in noisy environments.

Private Communication
Built-in voice scrambler allows secure communication between stations, with 32-code compatibility with the optional UT-112 unit.

Integrated MOB Alarm, Man Down, and Lone Worker functions trigger an automatic emergency alert when activated.

Multi-Function Button
Quickly switch channel groups (marine ⇔ LMR) or toggle scrambler ON/OFF. The button also doubles as a key lock when held.
